- Exhaust Manifold Bolt Retainer: 4 are required per car (1 per bolt) New Chrysler small-block exhaust pipe-to-manifold bolt retainer. This retainer is mounted between the bolt and exhaust flange. When the bolt is fully tightened the tab folds over to prevent the bolt from loosening. These retainers were used on cars starting after Dec 2nd, 1968 (1969 model year) to 1974 on small blocks only.
