Trunk Lid Prop Strut Kit

Trunk Lid Prop Strut. Replacement strut only. This is the replacement strut for one of the kits we provide by itself without the hardware or installation instructions. This is only going to be beneficial for those that have had a replacement strut placed onto their vehicle already and have broken the unit / lost it / damaged it / or wanted reduced or increased strut rod pressure to hold the decklid up. Our struts are based on a 60 pound strut pressure and we have the option to increase or decrease that pressure from 20 pounds to as high as 150 pounds. Notify us at time of order if you are changing your strut because of wishing for increased or reduced strut pressure and what poundage you are seeking

Trunk Lid Prop Strut Kit - Type A with ball studs - This kit does not require drilling any holes in the trunk lid brace or inner quarter panel bracing. The kit includes a new and unused, dampened, gas filled strut, special galvanized mounting studs, mounting hardware and detailed mounting instructions.. The special mounting studs are sized to properly fit in the existing holes (where the original prop rod "S" hooks fitted) and are bent to the proper angle for this application. This kit includes flat washers and fiber lock nuts for attaching the mounting studs. The detailed instructions describe installing the mounting studs and gas piston.

Trunk Lid Prop Strut Kit - Type B with brackets - This kit does require drilling holes in the trunk lid brace and inner quarter panel bracing. The kit includes a new and unused, dampened, gas filled strut, special galvanized mounting studs, mounting hardware, detailed mounting instructions and templates for properly locating the four mounting holes. This kit includes stainless steel machine screws, flat washers and fiber lock nuts for attaching the mounting studs. The detailed instructions describe installing the mounting studs and gas piston.
